Whats it called ? Cumbernauld

This set explores Cumbernauld Centre through its approaches and internal routes. Roads lead beneath elevated sections of the building; walkways cross parking areas; staircases, ramps and escalators connect one level to another. Exterior views establish the centre as a layered urban structure, set against overcast skies and dense planting.

Inside, the camera follows corridors, tiled landings and the central escalators, where signs, shutters and illuminated shopfronts mark the change from public route to retail interior. Repeated blue surfaces and metal railings provide a visual thread across the journey. The result is a study of movement, access and the varied spaces that surround and pass through the centre.
