Coastal Margins

This West Coast sequence looks along the meeting point of shore, structure and horizon. Its subjects range from a small boat below weathered stonework to an industrial site set behind layered security fences, with concrete, wire and lichen-covered rocks forming intervals between them. Each image attends to a distinct material presence while remaining anchored by the waterline and the changing coastal light.

Rather than separating natural and built elements, the photographs place them in the same maritime weather. Reflections, heavy cloud, pale water and dark rock create a restrained visual thread, while each frame considers a different kind of boundary: tidal, material, historical or controlled. The result is a study of the West Coast as a shared and continually marked edge.
