Clyde Industrial Fringe

Clyde Industrial Fringe follows the weathered edges of Glasgow’s industrial landscape through two linked sites: Shawfield Stadium and Sentinel Works. Across roadside facades, shuttered entrances, broken window grids and temporary fencing, the photographs attend to accumulated layers of brick, concrete, render, rust and paint. Evening light shifts the register from warm exterior walls to shadowed thresholds and interiors, revealing structures marked by adaptation, containment and long use. The project moves between broad streetscape and close material observation, finding rhythm in repeated bays, cracked surfaces, railings, signage and the small incursions of vegetation at the edge of the built environment.
