Shawfield Track follows the edges, interiors and surrounding ground of a graffiti-marked former trackside complex in Shawfield. The photographs move between street frontage, covered terraces, painted walls, empty steps and open grass, allowing the site to emerge through its surfaces and structures. Rusted roof trusses, railings, shutters and doorways give the sequence a strong architectural thread, while murals and tags bring colour and gesture into each space.
Rather than treating the location from a single viewpoint, the set alternates wide frames with close observations. Open views of the buildings and floodlights establish scale; details of timber, grilles and paint slow the pace. Vegetation repeatedly enters the frames, softening boundaries between the built remains and the ground around them.
